Spring 2026 Update

Published - 17th Mar 2026

As we settle into 2026, the momentum from an incredible 2025 has carried straight into a busy and exciting start to the year here at Adnet.

January saw the workshop running at full capacity, with machines scheduled down to the very millisecond and our engineers working tirelessly to ensure every component was delivered on time. It was a fantastic start to the year and a testament to the dedication and precision of the whole team.

One of the most exciting developments this year has been the addition of David, who joined us as an intern to help implement a real-time machine scheduling system. This innovative development has already made a huge impact on the shop floor, automating processes that previously required a dedicated shop floor manager and enabling our team to work even more efficiently.

Following the success of his internship, we’re delighted that David will be continuing with us on an extended contract. As he helps introduce further technical advancements, we’re looking forward to improvements across efficiency, skill utilisation, teamwork, reduced lag time, and even stronger on-time delivery performance.

In February, we were proud to host the Tewkesbury Business Voice breakfast event at Adnet. It was a pleasure to welcome an inspiring group of business representatives from across Tewkesbury Borough for a morning of networking and discussion.

Our Managing Director, Caroline, delivered a heartfelt speech reflecting on her journey within Adnet and the evolution of the business over the past four years. She spoke about the strength of the team and the progress we’ve made together in building the thriving company Adnet is today – a very proud moment for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to the Tewkesbury Borough Business Voice Network for the opportunity to collaborate and host such an important event. Initiatives like this highlight the power of local businesses coming together to support and strengthen our community.

As we move into March, the brighter weather and longer days signal the arrival of spring – and a busy season ahead for the workshop.

Over the past few months, we’ve been pleased to take on a number of new and technically demanding projects. Our team has been busy producing complex turned and milled components for customers operating in critical industries, where precision, reliability, and consistency are essential. It’s always rewarding to see challenging designs come to life on the shop floor and to continue delivering the high standards our clients rely on.

We’ve recently invested in a tool vend from Fast Tools Ltd. Designed to keep our team moving, it ensures we never run out of essential tools on the shop floor. With automatic ordering and refill, it’s another step forward in how we’re streamlining and automating our processes.

With the business continuing to grow, we are currently looking to expand our team across a variety of roles, including trainee and supervisory positions. We’re looking for people who are eager to learn, develop their skills, and grow with the company as Adnet continues to move forward.

As we look ahead to the rest of 2026, we remain committed to investing in our people, our technology, and the quality our customers rely on. With exciting developments underway and capacity continuing to grow, we look forward to supporting both existing and new partners with their precision engineering needs.
