A Summer of Growth, Recognition and New Beginnings

As we head into the final quarter of 2026, it’s a great time to reflect on a busy and exciting summer here at Adnet Precision Engineering.

From celebrating industry recognition and welcoming new team members to investing in our capabilities and supporting our local community, the past few months have been filled with plenty to be proud of. With our order books looking strong and further developments underway, we’re excited about what’s to come in Q4.

Here’s a look at some of the highlights from our summer.

Keeping the Workshop Running Through Summer

The summer months have been a busy period on the shop floor, with our team continuing to deliver components for customers across a range of industries.

Despite the challenges that can come with working through the warmer weather, production has remained on track, with plenty of work moving through the workshop and our engineers continuing to deliver the quality and precision our customers expect.

It’s been great to see the team maintaining momentum throughout the summer, and with a strong pipeline of work ahead, we’re looking forward to carrying that energy into the final quarter of the year.

Celebrating Success at the C2S Business Awards

It was a fantastic evening at the C2S Growth Consultancy Awards, held at Cheltenham Racecourse, where we joined businesses from across the region to celebrate their achievements.

We were particularly proud to have been shortlisted as finalists in two categories: Manufacturing Business of the Year and Leadership Award.

We’re delighted to have been recognised as Highly Commended in both categories. To receive this recognition among so many talented and ambitious businesses is a fantastic achievement for Adnet and a reflection of the hard work, dedication and expertise of our entire team.

The evening was a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the progress we’ve made as a business, catch up with fellow businesses and look ahead to the future.

Congratulations to Permali, who won Manufacturing Business of the Year, and to Cheryl Luzet, who took home the Leadership Award.

A huge thank you to the C2S team, the judges and everyone involved in organising such a memorable evening.

We’re looking forward to building on this success and continuing to grow as a business over the coming year.

Six Months of Progress for Trainee Charlie

It’s been six months since we welcomed Charlie to Adnet as a trainee, and it’s fantastic to see how much progress he’s made during that time.

Over the past few months, Charlie has been working on a number of high-volume production runs on the Hawk Chucker. This experience has helped him develop his machining skills, build confidence on the shop floor and become more comfortable working independently.

He has attended machining training at GET to help with his journey

As his experience has grown, Charlie has become increasingly confident in his work, making fewer mistakes and relying less on his mentor, Scott, for day-to-day support.

For us, watching our trainees develop their skills and grow in confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. Charlie’s progress is a great example of what can be achieved through hands-on experience, guidance and a willingness to learn.

He’s looking forward to gaining experience on more machines and continuing to develop his skills as he progresses through his training.

Well done, Charlie! We’re excited to see what’s next.

Introducing Stephen: Strengthening Production and Quality

This summer, we welcomed Stephen to the Adnet team as our new Production and Quality Engineer.

With a wealth of engineering experience and a passion for organisation, quality and continuous improvement, Steven has already made a valuable contribution to the business. He’s been working closely with our production and inspection teams to improve processes and support the smooth running of the workshop.

Stephen’s interest in engineering began at an early age, having grown up around his father’s engineering business. By the age of 12, he was already operating a manual lathe, and at 14 he travelled to Japan with his father to visit Mori Seiki.

His father’s workshop was also home to a little piece of engineering history: the first Mori Seiki lathe imported into the UK.

His early experiences helped shape his career in manufacturing and we are so pleased to welcome him into the team.

Supporting Our Local Community

Supporting the communities around us is something we value at Adnet, and this summer we’ve been pleased to contribute to two fantastic local initiatives.

Brockfest

We were delighted to support Brockfest, helping contribute to an event that brings people together and celebrates the local community.

It’s always great to see local events creating opportunities for people to connect, have fun and support the area we call home.

Brockworth RFC

We were also proud to sponsor Brockworth RFC as they celebrate their 50th anniversary season.

With such a significant milestone for the club, we’re pleased to play a small part in supporting its continued success, helping contribute towards players’ kit and equipment.

We’re passionate about supporting local organisations and look forward to continuing to build strong connections within our community.

New Machinery, New Opportunities

The unit, which we took over in 2025, is continuing to evolve as we expand our manufacturing capabilities and invest in additional capacity.

One of the biggest developments at Adnet this summer has been the arrival of our new Dugard 760 XP CNC milling centre in Unit A1. After a successful installation and setup, the new machine is now fully operational and already producing components for customer orders.

Investing in new machinery is an important part of our growth strategy. By expanding our milling capabilities, we’re continuing to strengthen our ability to take on new projects, support existing customers and meet growing demand.

It’s exciting to see Unit A1 coming together, and we’re looking forward to making the most of the additional capacity as we move into the final quarter of the year.

Looking Ahead to Q4

As we approach the end of September, we’re pleased to see our order books continuing to fill and the business maintaining strong momentum heading into Q4.

With new machinery up and running, new talent joining the team and a growing pipeline of work, we’re in a great position to build on the progress we’ve made throughout the year.

Our focus remains on investing in our people, developing our capabilities and delivering the quality and reliability our customers have come to expect from Adnet.

Thank you to our team, customers, suppliers and partners for your continued support.

Here’s to a productive and exciting final quarter of 2026!
