We are delighted to announce that Adnet Precision Engineering has been named a finalist in two categories at the C2S Business Awards 2026: Manufacturing Business of the Year and The Leadership Award.

This recognition follows a successful journey that began back in February, when we submitted entries across several categories including Family Business of the Year, Manufacturing Business of the Year, The Growth Award, and The Leadership Award.
After coming together and celebrating with C2S at Dunkerton’s in March for the shortlist drinks and then at Manor by the Lake in May for the finalists gathering, we are beyond excited for the final awards night in July.
A special mention goes to Caroline Day, who has been recognised in the Leadership category following her appointment as Managing Director in 2022. Her leadership has been instrumental in guiding Adnet’s continued growth and development, and this finalist position is a reflection of her impact as well as the wider team’s achievements.

So, with Caroline selected as one of seven Managing Director finalists, what truly defines Adnet as a Manufacturing Business of the Year finalist?
Adnet continues to be recognised for its strong foundations across several key areas:
Customer-Centric Approach
Since being founded by Adrian Day, Adnet has always operated with a strong focus on quality, service, and open communication. We pride ourselves on being flexible and responsive to customer needs, often taking on complex and challenging projects that other providers may not. This commitment has been key in building long-standing, trusted customer relationships.
Continual Investment in Capability
Since Caroline stepped up to MD in 2022, Adnet has consistently invested in advanced machining technology to ensure we remain at the forefront of precision engineering. This includes working with Tewkesbury Growth Hub to secure REPF grant funding for a new state-of-the-art CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), further strengthening our inspection capability.
Our recent expansion into a second unit, effectively doubling our operational footprint, is another example of our commitment to long-term growth and capability development.

Our People
While machinery and capability are essential, our people remain our greatest strength. Over half of our highly skilled workforce have been with Adnet for more than 10 years, reflecting a strong and supportive working environment.
We continue to invest in future talent through training and development opportunities, including successfully transitioning an intern into a permanent role through Made Smarter. We are also proud of our ongoing community and charity contributions.

Continuous Improvement
Adnet is committed to never standing still. We actively collect and analyse production data to identify opportunities for improvement, assign accountability, and deliver measurable change. This approach has directly contributed to improving OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) performance and strengthening our customer service offering.
Overcoming Adversity
Adnet successfully navigated the challenges of Covid, and more recently, the loss of our founder Adrian. Despite these challenges, the strength of the team, supported by Caroline’s leadership, has ensured the business has not only continued but grown stronger, carrying forward Adrian’s legacy.

We are incredibly proud to be recognised as finalists and look forward to celebrating at the awards evening. This achievement reflects the commitment, resilience, and expertise of the entire Adnet team.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support our journey.
